For the price is really good place. But there was problem with the WiFi which wasnt solved more than 5 days. Also they asked for a deposit on place but i don't remember if it was written on Booking. Anyway, for ~24 euro per night you receive breakfast too. Good place if you like hostels.

Clean rooms, good breakfast. Rooms got quite hot and there was no air con or fan. Toilet is good. Good location in Ponta Delgada only a few minutes walk from the city center. One of our balcony doors was broken and didn't lock, which was a bit of a concern.

A real bare minimum hostel. you don’t really get wifi (maybe if you’re lucky) so you need to factor data into the price of your stay. Breakfast is minimal (a ham and cheese sandwich or corn flakes with milk) but nice to have because they don’t have a kitchen or fridge so you cannot store your own food. Rooms are fine, the lockers are nice and some of the most spacious I’ve seen in a hostel. I really like that you can open a window because the hostel generally smells of cigarette smoke from people smoking near the door. Toilets and common spaces are clean, showers though are basic and extremely slick, which makes it difficult to move around/get changed. Reception is no frills and requires you to turn in your key before leaving. Very frustrating when you have to wait to pick your key back up. btw the door locks are ridiculous here and people arriving late will definitely wake you up because they’re not intuitive at all. Parking lot is nice to have (albeit really difficult to turn into). It feels very open and stoney, like a castle, which if you’re into socializing wouldn’t make it the best option. When there’s wind (and there’s a lot when I was there) it is very loud with the windows banging against the frame but I got used to it and didn’t mind it much. Light sleepers would probably have a difficult time sleeping here as I did. I got about 4 hrs of sleep per night in a small dorm just because people are loud, come in at the middle of the night, and the lights/noise wakes me up, more than other hostels. Close to town. Overall for the price, I wasn’t expecting much but it’s a decent hostel, but there’s other way nicer ones if you’re willing to spend $15-20 more.

A nice a reasonably priced hostel. It is the "old style" in terms of having to give a guarantee (for not ruining some beds from a steelnstructure?!), but it is very clean, the staff is pretty helpful and kind and there is a continental breakfast included. Recommended!

I guess it's fine if you are in your teens/ early 20s, but we got stuck here when our flight got canceled. Place reminded me of an army barracks, people coming and going at all hours, laying around in stench. Breakfast was just a piece of bread and cheese. €5 for a one-time use towel. If you are over 23, you are too old for this stuff. It's called "youth hostel" for a reason.
